So you might be looking to take the plunge and buy a country property for sale in Spain and have decided on millena,  the fact it's the best place you can live in Alicante lifestyle being one of the reasons.
Millena is positioned in the Costa Blanca, in the district of Alicante between Valencia and Murcia Millena is a mountain village, wich is located to the east of the Sierra de Mariola in the northern part of the province of Alicante. someone would buy a property in these mountains to take part in the quieter side of the Costa Blancan lifestyle. You can get to millena by flying into Alicante International airport which is located just outside the city of Elche.

The area is well known for its diverse wildlife and animals such as Red Kite, Wild Boar, Foxes, Eagles, Weasels, Ginetta and Vultures are regularly seen in the immediate vicinity.

The area is also well known for its Mores and Christians Fiestas which take place in August.

This is a real rural / inland area on the Costa Blanca and beautiful coastline of Alicante. living in millena  would make an ideal retreat for nature lovers or those simply wanting to get away from the rat-race.

When looking for a good place to buy a country property in spain consider Millena. It may be small and out of the way, but it offers something that the big city destinations cannot: a place to relax, enjoy the fresh country air and amazing wildlife. It has none of the pollution and confusion that large crowds in the big cities have. The village is surrounded by the mountains of Almudaina and Karaites, giving tourists a good scenic view.
The region of Valencia where this village is located was first settled by Arabs. Castles were erected in the style of Mudejar as military defensive points. In the town of Millena, this was the Travadell Castle. Seen as a stronghold for the Muslim settlers, these provided communication between several castles in the area. Unfortunately, the areas that the Moors once controlled were taken over through the Christian conquest. Although the Muslim settlers were allowed to stay for some time after the colonization, eventually they were cast out. Centuries later, even with the former settlers having come and gone, the castles and other monuments still remain.
